Core current transformers are essential devices in electrical power systems. They assist in measuring the amount of an electrical current passing through a circuit. The second coil is not electrically connected to the primary circuit, but they are magnetically coupled through a magnetic core, which induces a current in the secondary winding. This current is associated with the current through the primary winding. Thus, we measure the current without stopping the circuit or preventing the flow of electricity.
